WHICH YOGA STYLE IS BEST FOR YOU?

Even when we ask, the answer we receive does not mean anything to us. It is one of the mistakes we often make to think that there is only one correct method of doing yoga, although we have taken yoga lessons from different trainers or sports centers, they are all the same yoga. 4- Ashtanga Yoga

Ashtanga style, which is firmly connected to traditional Indian yoga, is not suitable for those who are new to yoga or those who are not in good condition because of the physical strength and expertise they require. Poses are always done in the same order and shape, the same pattern is followed during each exercise. If you think you can start Ashtanga, you are recommended to start with the beginner level and move on to the higher levels after you specialize. At this point, of course, it would be useful to say that it may take years to specialize at a certain level.

5- Vinyasa Yoga

Maybe it is the most popular yoga style and is taught by many studios. Vinyasa means combining movements with breathing techniques. Vinyasa can be performed as a moving meditation by memorizing flow and movements. Its rhythm is fast, as it is intended to speed up the heartbeat, and is not expected for too long in poses. If you want to shape and strengthen your body and instead of repeating the same movements like Ashtanga, Vinyasa will be the right choice for you. It is also very suitable for beginners.

6- Bikram Yoga

In Bikram yoga, which is perhaps one of the most interesting yoga styles you can hear, the room temperature is set to 41 degrees and the humidity is 40%, allowing your body to sweat and toxins out. In total, 26 poses are made so that each of them is repeated twice. You can see the benefits of Bikram yoga by working all over your body, sweating and pumping oxygenated blood into your organs. Of course, it is important to remember that plenty of water should be drunk after Bikram yoga.

7- Kripalu Yoga

If you are in search of a more spiritual yoga style, you are at the right place. Focused on calmness, meditation, relaxation, focus and awareness, Kripalu yoga aims to relieve the mind from stress. Since it does not have a sharp line application like other styles, it allows you to shape your exercise according to your body’s needs and wishes.

Yin Yoga

If you are not a fan of very active yoga, Yin yoga will be the best option for you with long waiting times in poses. The main goal is to feel comfortable in poses with meditation and correct breathing techniques. For this reason, unlike other Yang yoga types that require strength and movement, they are passive with more sitting positions and stretching movements. It facilitates your specialization in poses by speeding up and stretching the blood flow. Yin yoga is not recommended if you are already flexible or disabled.

Anti-Gravity Yoga

If you are in search of creativity and aesthetics in yoga, Aerial yoga should definitely be given a chance. Thanks to a silk fabric, hammock or swing hanging from the ceiling, a feeling of gravity is created and yoga is possible in the air. Although it facilitates some movements thanks to its non-gravity environment, some yoga and pilates experience is sought in order to do anti-gravity yoga.
